God's Timing

Image
"When, Father, when?" These are the questions I find myself asking almost every day. "When will you use me the way You said you will, or am I mistaken that it was You or just my own desires." The questions are many and often the answers are not there. But sometimes all I hear in my heart is "wait". I don't know how long I must wait, and seriously I get impatient most of the times. I get all this ideas of how I will serve God. Write a book, open women's ministry, do this and that, but unless God gives a go-ahead all ideas are just dreams. The other day I was watching a movie on David. I don't know if I heard it before but I heard that after David was anointed to be king of Israel he waited for more than 10 more years. First he was anointed as a young boy by Samuel ( 1 Samuel 16 ), he worked for Saul who was king then. After Saul's death David became king of Judah ( 2 Samuel 2 ) and after 7 years he became king of all Israel when he was 30 ...

String-attached mistakes

"I know what I am doing Baby, I was taught this way at the driving school!", were my words to my husband when he advised me on how to park our new car. Well maybe I did know, but just like a baby thinks she knows how to unwrap a sweet and insist to do it by herself. My first born never wanted anyone to unwrap a sweet for her, she always thought she can do it by herself, and if it was impossible she would give give it to you to help her, BUT, if you unwrap it completely it will mean war! You were only to unwrap it half way and give it back for her to finish the process. Just like my baby I thought I could do the driving my way, the way I was taught at the driving school. For me my husband wanted to take over my driving skills and wanted to give me his which I was too proud to take. Then it happened! One morning I was in a hurry (don't really know for what reason). I wanted to start the car while standing outside of the car.... Can you believe.... I thought I knew what I ...

Tomorrow

Tomorrow I want to wake up to a greener world. I want to open my eyes tomorrow And see the sunlight shine through my window. Tomorrow I pray that there will be sunshine through the clouds. I want to wake up and smile, I want to forget about today, tomorrow. There is a place my heart longs for, a song my soul wants to hear. There is a melody I want to hum to. There is a smell I long for, and a rest my heart can't wait for. O, how my soul longs to see that beautiful place, where I will be free, free from the struggles of today. Free and redeemed forever. There is  a place that I long for, and I want to live in that place today, for tomorrow that place is reality.

Waiting

I wonder how many of you will relate to my story today... If no one does then I must be from Mars :) My life has been full of lessons on waiting and believe me I think I got a trophy in that by now. Right now I am also in the process of waiting. I am working on a contract for the third year now. And if you know money does not really mean a lot if the bank is not on your side. Well at first I used to get so overwhelmed by wanting this or that. Trying to buy a house or even a car, but I can't because like a said the bank is not on your site if you are working for a two or one year contract... You know the joy of staying in your own house. I have build and decorated my house over and over again in my mind. I painted the walls green today and tomorrow purple, the other day blue or whatever colour I feel like that day. Its so funny but I kind of like it, I think it gives me more options on how to design and decorate my house one day. Well I am still waiting for that day, and I have lear...

A Girl's pride

Image
Halo girl's My girls and me (left Grace and right Mutago) Today my heart is filled with godly pride. Just like the bible says that she who boast must boast in the Lord, that she knows Him and that she understands His love and righteousness ( Jeremiah 9:24 ). My husband and I started evening devotions with our two girls (Grace 9, and Mutago 7) beginning of this year. It's so amazing how the truths of God's word get manifested in our lives. God's word is like a little seed we plant, we water it everyday having faith that one day we will see a plant shooting out from the soil. And everyday you look and wish to see something, and eventually you see that the soil has cracked then you know in your heart that the plant is ready to come out. Telling my girls about God and the ways of God is like planting seeds. Everyday I pray and believe that the words of God will have an effect on their way of living. On their behaviour and even their way of thinking. This m...

Miracles Part 2

Good morning Girls, as promised this is the concluding article on my girls operation and God's wonders. 19 March 2012 Well it’s almost a year after I wrote this. Well some may wonder what happened with Mutago. Well Mutago is alive and running around. She got a heart surgery 10 th of May 2011. They usually perform two surgeries on children with such conditions, the second one after 6 months. But God is good and merciful, Mutago good both operations at the same time, as she was already “passed age”. Well my first article stared with the words “I have never seen a miracle in my life”, well I have. I have seen a miracle in my life, Mutago was that miracle. It was shocking to the doctors how this 6 year old girl survived with such a condition all this years, and how she could look so normal. It also amazed me when I saw other children younger then her, even babies that really looked like they where sick, but in Mutago’s life I have not seen her as a child who was sick, except fo...

Miracles

Hi ladies, just wanted to share with you something I wrote last year. The follow up wrting to this will I blog tommorow. ( 26 April 2011) I have never in my live seen a healing miracle. I have heard of them, read about them on the internet or even in the Bible. I believe that God can and is able to do anything if we believe. I wonder if believing has different levels. I wonder if and when we pray for a healing miracle that first God should tell us to pray about it or that we should pray because we are hoping for God to heal us. My baby has a heart defect. Her name is Mutago, 6 years. We went to Cape Town 2 weeks ago, hoping to get an operation but her temperature was high, going up and down and they couldn’t operate. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways” declares the Lord. 1 At this very moment in my life I know that God always has a plan for all of us. And I know that He has a plan for Mutago as well. When we were in SA I read scripture...
